Bill Buckner?
Buckner could be in the Hall of Fame? Yes, I know that his career was to remember his mistake, but think logically. 2715hits Buckner had more than Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio and 70% of the Hall of Fame. Buckner was one of the few players to play in four decades (1969-1990) and played in more than 2517gms Babe Ruth, Rod Carew and Willie Stargell. Buckner was one of the most respected players in the gm considered a hard kitchen making every effort on every play. Ray Knight, the recipient of Buckner Buckner error called a champion warrior. Baseball is a numbers game, yes, should be in the Hall of Fame for his number! Will always be remembered for something other than this error at the wrong time, sadly, no! res that people do not recognize is that Boston was not the best person to play first base in the '86 World Series. If the boys was good enough to start a World Series team at this age, it would be superior to the average. I'm not a fan of Boston, but if I had a vote, which was based on solid career numbers.
